Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

Living-lab notice: UBEC DAO is a non-commercial, experimental platform operated in the spirit of open inquiry and community stewardship. By registering, you join a community of practice, not a commercial service.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or registering on any UBEC DAO service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the services.

2. Nature of the platform

Operated by Michel Garand (Müllrose, Germany) as a non-commercial living-lab experiment. Provided on a best-effort basis for educational and research purposes. No payment is required. No commercial transaction takes place.

3. Registration

Valid email required. You must be at least 16 years old (GDPR Art. 8, Germany). One account per person. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials.

4. Steward conduct

Contribute observations in good faith. Respect other stewards' contributions. Do not use the platform for commercial purposes, spam, or unlawful activity. Do not attempt to circumvent security measures.

5. Your content

Content you submit remains yours. By submitting, you grant UBEC DAO a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and share your contributions within the platform under CC BY-SA 4.0. You may request deletion at any time.

6. Token rewards

Participation may earn UBEC tokens distributed via the Stellar network. Tokens are experimental instruments with no guaranteed monetary value. Distribution may be modified or discontinued without notice. Tokens do not constitute securities or financial instruments.

7. Availability

Provided as-is. No guarantee of uninterrupted availability. The platform will change — sometimes unexpectedly — as a living lab.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Governing law

Laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Jurisdiction: Brandenburg, Germany. EU residents may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. We do not participate in consumer arbitration voluntarily.
